In my last post I showed you how to photograph freckles with a Scoro 1600 Wifi and Pulso G 1600 J with Octabox 150, however I was still not fully satisfied with the end results. Not because of the quality of the photographs, but I could clearly see the difference between those images and the ones I used to make with natural light before. I started to think about it a little bit more and decided that I would give it another try. This time I used a HMI 400 Starter Kit!
I’ve arranged a portrait shoot with my favorite model and placed her in the front of the black backdrop as usual. I was thinking for a long time how should I use the continuous light so it would have the best result and would look as similar to natural light as possible. First I've tried to face the lamp towards the model but the light was too strong. I have decided to face the light towards the ceiling. (I am pretty lucky to have big living room, white walls and ceiling). Suddenly apartment was filled with light and I could start shooting :)
