I made use of this knowledge in my project, which was part of my final exam to train as a photographer.
I illuminated perfume bottles with three Siros 800 S luminaires with a normal reflector. I also attached a coloured foil in red, green, and blue to each light.
The perfume bottles were illuminated from behind with the three Siros so that the shadow fell in front of the perfume bottles. Because the three luminaires were next to each other, the desired effect was that the object was rendered "correctly" in the areas where all three colours met. In the shadow areas, only the three RGB colours were visible.
Another Siros 800 S lamp with a Softbox was used from the front left to brighten the lids and labels of the perfume bottles.
I chose perfume bottles that had diffuse and transparent surfaces. Coloured or non-translucent perfume bottles did not seem appropriate for this project.
The background on which I placed the perfume bottles was white. This allowed the colourful shadow to unfold its full effect. I also used white cubic shapes to create more shadow play.
For my shots, I used the Canon EOS R with the RF 24-105mm f/4 lens, at full extension. On the camera, I set the aperture f/16, ISO 100, and a time 1/160s for the shots.
