In the Omo Valley, I was welcomed by people who were not only proud and open but also deeply rooted in their traditions. My goal was to portray them with honesty and dignity, using a controlled, portrait-style approach—even in the midst of unpredictable environments.

Creating a conceptual dance image

When I was asked to create a preview image for Jasmine Ellis Projects' upcoming dance piece, Everything That Is Wrong With Me, we didn’t have much to work with—just one dancer, no choreography yet, and only a rough idea that parachutes would play a major role in the set and costumes. The challenge was to capture the essence of the piece before it even existed.

A last-minute poster shoot for Jasmine Ellis Projects’ new dance piece, Everything that is Wrong With Me, was executed with tight timing and a clear vision. Shot in black and white with dramatic lighting using the broncolor Satos system, the session captured the dancers' raw energy and movement.
