This is my second makeup shoot with students from the Film and Television Makeup Design Department of Vancouver Film School in Shanghai.
The theme of this makeup shoot is Fantasy Makeup. After the last shoot, I made some comments about the makeup itself from the photographer's point of view, and I didn't expect that the students would improve so much in just one month!
Whether it is in the details of the makeup or the emotional guidance of the movement, they have been greatly improved. This is not easy for a group of students who have not really started their profession yet!

Shooting difficulties
The shooting time was actually very tight, starting from 13:30 to 16:30. There were eight different makeups to be interpreted in the first time, then different lighting adjustments and shooting according to each makeup, each with different lighting ...... and the guidance of models, movements and emotional guidance will take a lot of time. And there are also videos and group photos...
In addition, the height of the roof for this shoot is still very low for portrait photography. So, the model had to be seated during the shoot. However, some of the make-up needed to match the model's movement, and some of the make-up headpieces were very high, so even if we seat down, the height of the roof was not enough for lighting.
At the same time, the equipment part we cannot bring too much, my car cannot fit a lot of lighting equipment. So, some of the idea light effects, we do not have a way to express.
But the good news is, the final images are still very satisfactory! No disgrace!
The camera part of the shoot was Fuji GFX100 + GF32-64mm + GF110mm, and the lighting part was a broncolor Octabox 150 and a Para 88 with a long strip Softbox.
