How to Shoot High Contrast Images

This How To demonstrates the benefit of using a Staro when you want to shoot a portrait featuring high contrast. The Staro is placed on the left side of the model. Control over the light while not allowing it to strike the background is needed. This means the Staro should be used together with the honeycomb grid as the main light.

The second light is a softbox illuminating the background and creating a graduated effect on the background. For the third light a Para 88 is placed coming from above, behind the model’s head and is responsible for creating lens are, the light on the hair.
