I’m the kind of photographer who doesn’t mind working with natural light, but sometimes I need an extra push. Still, the light in my work has been very simple so far; I just need one light and a reflector to create it.

A few weeks ago I got my new broncolor equipment and I was so excited to use it that I quickly got to to work.

The first time I tried some of the broncolor gear was to create my new picture "Slumber". For this photograph, I decided to use one broncolor Siros 400 S with a silver Umbrella 105cm. And that was all.

Being used to create self-portraits, it only took me a few minutes to prepare the setting. With music playing in the background, I hung up a black blanket, set the tripod with the Siros 400s and the silver umbrella, my camera, and then sat on the stool to start the photoshoot.

"Slumber" is part of "Haunted", a b&w series where I show the rawest human feelings in their pure state. To create them, I use no make-up or a very small amount of it.

Since most of my photoshoots are self-portraits, the setting needs to be really practical and easy-going. I quickly got to appreciate Siros 400 S effectiveness. It only took me 3-4 minutes to get the light and camera parameters right and just a few minutes more to get the perfect shot.

I am very happy with the results and the Siros 400 S with the silver umbrella made the job a lot easier. Can’t wait to create new work with broncolor!
