The black helmet is placed on a narrow black stand. This is the only thing that is retouched (eliminated) later in post-production.
Just behind the object, a black flag is used as a background. It has the same shape as the helmet and is just a few centimeters larger. The white contour light is created by a large Octabox behind this flag.
On the left, there is a narrow Softbox of 30 x 120 cm. It provides the light for the inside of the helmet and you can see its very even reflection on the shiny helmet visor.
The large Softbox 90 x 120 cm is used as an overall fill-in and for the reflections on the metallic decor element in the centre.
Last but not least, a small Softbox of 35 x 60 cm shapes the dark and matt part of the object. This light shaper is angled away from the helmet to achieve the nice fall-off of the light to the right. In this way, the contour light becomes more important.
