bronAPI – Python Interface

broncolor's Python API for automated photography

bronAPI – Python Interface

bronAPI allows software developers to integrate all broncolor WiFi products into their own applications via a free of charge Python interface.

Mockup API

Companies offering digital asset management platforms or any kind of other solutions for automated content production can now make use of the reliable broncolor products to ensure consistent lighting with highly reproducible colours. All processes that require a streamlined, (semi-)automated workflow such as eCommerce systems, vehicle inspection stations, photo booths, photo points in amusement parks or inline image capturing applications will benefit from the bronAPI interface. The settings of the flash and continuous lights are controlled through software commands like other standard network devices and 3rd party photography solutions can be built on broncolor products.

- Based on Python, the very universal programming language

- Cross platform, same code works on Windows / Mac / Linux / Android

- Direct access to lights via their IP addresses

- Supports all WiFi broncolor product lines; Siros S and Siros L monolights, Scoro power packs and LED F160 continuous light solutions

bronAPI controls broncolor products in only three simple steps:

- Configure products to join your access point. Use shell.py to make them connect to your access point using the three simple commands.

- Configure your DHCP server to always assign the same IP address to the individual lights.

- Access the light through their IP address. Use the example shell.py or make your own.
