Martha Suherman

Martha is a photographer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Originally, in 2000, she started her career as a graphic designer as she was studying at Trisakti University. After freelancing for a few years, she became a marketing director and got into corporate photography. However, she has always been in love with photography. In 2007, she finally decided to dedicate her work fully to photography and opened her own studio called Martha Suherman Photography. Today her work specialises in corporate and commercial photography.

As a female photographer (and mother of three), she believes in empowering other women to pursue photography. She believes that this isn’t a field reserved mainly for men. She loves sharing knowledge and insights with others, especially amateur and young photographers. Having become Nikon Indonesia’s official photographer partner since 2013, she has collaborated with them to hold workshops and give talks on photography. Otherwise, she also educates her viewers about industry insights on her YouTube channel, which she started in 2018.

Today, with over 15 years of experience under her belt, Martha has become well-versed in Indonesia’s creative landscape and industry. She has collaborated with many brands and government sectors that allow her to explore her photography and grow as a creative.
