In his latest project, photographer Yannick De Bakongo portrayed actor David Chrisman, who has appeared in numerous productions and most recently in the hit series Tschugger.
Yannick De Bakongo: „For our most recent project, we realised a series of headshots that focused on dramatic lighting. Our aim was to create a series of shots that both looked natural and clearly emphasised the expressiveness and personality of the actor.
We chose a carefully balanced setup for the lighting: An L40 with barndoors was positioned to the right of the Siros 800L to ensure precise and focussed illumination. Additional accentuation came from the rear left, where we also used a Siros 800L, but combined with a 60x60 cm softbox equipped with a light grid. This setup allowed us to direct the light in a targeted manner without unwanted scattering.
The contrast was digitally reworked to enhance the dramatic effect and make the image even more impressive.“
