How to Shoot Creative Portraits

For this image I wanted a different feel.

My goal was to create a creative look, something more artistic and to demonstrate how you can use our products in a different way. The light and styling plays a big roll to achieve a nice image.

In this case the model had powder all over her face to get nice texture on her skin. It was a very simple make-up, but sometimes less is more.

I used two Siros 400, our Pulso Spot 4 and a Ringflash.

One Siros 400 was attached to a 30x120 Strip Softbox and was placed behind the model to create a rim light, which affected her shoulder and one side of her face.

As a second light I used the other Siros 400 with P70 reflector and honeycomb grid. That combination gave me a precise spot on the backdrop.

The main light was in that image our Pulso Spot 4. I wanted to get that specific effect.

I used it in combination with the Optical Snoot 150mm and a creative gobo.
The Gobo set for Optical Snoot made my image. It gave me a different light on the models face, meaning all of a sudden I had a structure on her face. She then turned her head out of the projection and finally her face looked almost like a mask.

The fourth light should just be used to lighten up the whole image, but not influencing the rest of the light. Obviously our Ringflash was the best choice.

The final result has got mood, it is different, creative and in a way tells a story.
