Still-life Specialist Nicholas Duers works with Scoro WiFi & bronControl

For the exacting photographer, control is everything and New York-based still life/product specialist Nicholas Duers represents the definition precisely.

Throughout his portfolio, you can see his focused visual imagination coming to life – resulting in stunning imagery that builds an impressive client list to include countless top-end luxury cosmetic, accessory, and apparel brands.

A recent addition to Nicholas’ workflow has included the integration of broncolor’s WiFi-enabled products. Though a longtime user of broncolor products, his purchase of Siros monolights for location-based work introduced a newfound ease of use through the bronControl app. This was soon followed up with broncolor’s flagship Scoro WiFi and a set of Pulso and Unilite lamps.

Now with both his studio and location kits compatible with WiFi and the bronControl app, Nicholas is able to seamlessly mix and control his lighting tools remotely from an iPad – an incredible convenience when the lamps or packs are placed in hard to reach places. When the light is incredibly critical to the image, being able to wirelessly change settings without physically touching the lamp becomes an invaluable capability.

In the bronControl software, all the lamps and packs are laid out in an easy-to-use display interface. Simple layout and clear functionality make the software – available for Desktop or Mobile, a very handy tool for multi-lamp setups.

This new level of control, when combined with broncolor’s already incredible color and flash duration capabilities, prove to be a vital component in Duers’ toolbox of lighting.
